Emotions: Tired, fresh, regret (not flirting more with new girl at work)
Having overcome the feelings over overwhelming stress from the week previous and changing my language around my work to a lighter viewpoint, focusing on the benefits such as continuous learning and skill development, studio access, culture etc I feel a lot better about my position in life in Auckland. Changing from a fuck it attitude, I understand although it may be the harder path, it will make me a better person for it.

Ocean beach and twin harbour were two incredible weekends and pretty much made my summer. Months of practices with countless turnovers, late nights, pain and frustration came together in a somewhat perfect tournament for me, notably Sunday. Don't be afraid to fail in practice,
Got thinking today about travel around world, especially to Japan, europe and london after learning a few languages first. When could I do this? 1 years time? After a worlds campaign? Possibly meet up with Stanford? Sake, nightlife and food? Daydreaming is the best. Sacrificing focus for the task in present is not though.
Deliberate practice
Reading up on deliberate practice made me realise the importance of proper understanding of this for career and sporting development. Depth is about consistency and quality of practice. It also is based on a correct order of practice:
- Knowing fundamental skills of sport/career, such as mental, physical, tactical, technical and knowing what order to learn them best.
- Clear goal at every practice, day at work. Have scratched surface here but needs much more work.
- Build each new skill on the one last learned, e.g. Cutting pattern out of a vertical stack to cutting pattern out of a horizontal.
- Feedback on process from someone I trust.
